ROLE – Customer Care Agent

Red Rickshaw is the UK’s largest online Asian grocer, offering produce and spices sourced from all over the world. We empower home cooks to create authentic Asian cuisine, as well as wholesaling to everywhere from prestigious Michelin starred restaurants to bustling street food markets.

The company has experienced a high organic growth rate, and this year we used our resources and expertise to branch out, creating Feast Box, a home delivery recipe box subscription service offering pre-measured ingredients and straightforward instruction cards for cooking authentic Asian and Middle Eastern meals. We want to enable our customers to cook without limits, helping them develop their own familiarity and ingenuity with Eastern cuisine.

We are now looking for someone to grow our Customer Service team and be responsible for resolving any queries and complaints from our customers from a variety of channels (phone, emails, livechat) through to resolution.

As the voice of Red Rickshaw & Feast Box to our customers you are responsible for representing the brand and enabling growth from customer satisfaction and repeat business. You are also in the position to gather and collate valuable customer feedback to drive business decisions and constantly strive to exceed customer expectations.

 

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a small ambitious team driven to deliver authentic and fresh ingredients and recipes to our customers’ doors. As our team grows, we need to know that we have the right people in place to ensure that our customers are always 100% satisfied. The role has vast scope for growth in the team and involvement across all areas of our company.

 

How you’ll make a difference:

 

  • Identifying and proactively seeking to resolve and support the needs of every customer, ensuring the outcome is in the best interests of both the customer and the company.
  • Communicating with our customers through well-crafted and personal emails, ensuring that written responses reflect the tone of our brands and exhibit a high standard of written English.
  • Developing an understanding of all products and services offered by both Red Rickshaw and Feast Box to enable concise and accurate responses.
  • Updating customer accounts with all the information received from any form of communication.
  • Sharing customer feedback and providing insights with relevant members of the team, ensuring that our business responds to (and is designed according to) the needs and habits of customers.

 

Who you are:

 

  • You’re passionate and committed to delivering the highest quality customer service
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work without supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Empathetic and considerate, with a friendly and engaged phone manner
  • Experienced in dealing with customers and providing the highest level of service in a previous customer-focused role
  • Previous experience of a subscription model business valued but not essential
  • Previous experience of systems such as Zendesk helpful but not vital
  • A great team player with a great attitude: lively, industrious and responsible, taking ownership and pushing for improvements, setting high expectations for own performance.

ROLE – FIELD SALES EXECUTIVE

Red Rickshaw is the UK’s largest online Asian grocer, offering produce and spices sourced from all over the world. Red Rickshaw is a forward-thinking, diverse business that is rapidly disrupting the food space. We supply ingredients to some of the top Michelin star restaurants, hotels, street food businesses and caterers across the UK and Europe. We pride ourselves on being able to procure even the most niche and hard to find ingredients.

 

Red Rickshaw is going through an exciting period of growth as we develop:

 

  • B2C e-commerce platform (redrickshaw.com)
  • B2B Wholesale operations
  • Launch of Feast Box (feastbox.co.uk) - an Asian and Middle Eastern meal kit delivery service, recently rated the best recipe box in the UK by the Telegraph.

 

The Role

 

We are looking for someone to join our fast growing field sales team to develop our Wholesale network.

 

If you’re looking for an entrepreneurial job with plenty of responsibility and room for growth, this could be just the thing for you! You’ll be selling our ingredients to high end restaurants, hotels, travel businesses and much more.

 

You’ll be working with our procurement team, operations team, marketing team and will have the scope to activate and execute entrepreneurial ideas as well as be exposed to some of the top chefs in the UK food business.

You will be based in London and expected to spend 3-4 days meeting decision makers within the food industry. We will spend time coaching and supporting you in the strategy of approaching new businesses, as well as teaching you the ins and outs of our ingredients and service. You'll be welcomed as a key member of our friendly, sociable and supportive team.

 

Salary: £19 - £22k (based upon experience) + Performance-based bonuses
