Dasheri Mangoes (pack of 6)
Known as the “mother” mango to many varieties found in the northern region of India, the Dasheri mango is a cultivar which originated in a village near Kakori in the Lucknow district, a city just south of the Nepal border, in the 18th century. Now it is grown all over North India, Nepal and Pakistan.
Dasheri mangoes are long and oval shaped, and become golden yellow when ripe. Dasheri mangoes have fiberless, peach-coloured flesh with a very sweet and aromatic flavour. Though the fruit is small when compared to its grafted counterparts, its flavor and fragrance is unmatched.
Dasheri mangoes take around 6 days to ripen at room temperature, and can be refrigerated for up to a week afterwards.
