Indian Arbi 250g
Arbi, also known as Taro Root, is a root vegetable native to India and Southeast Asia, considered ‘the potato of the tropics.’ Arbi tends to be prepared in the same way as potatoes, by roasting, baking, or boiling, which softens them. They are however more flavourful than potatoes, and taste nutty when cooked, such a widely-loved flavour that Arbi is incorporated into countless dishes - starters, mains and deserts alike.
Arbi are thought to have three times higher fibre content than that of a white potato, making them essential for our digestive health. Arbi are also rich in vitamins A, B6, C, E, folate, magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, potassium, manganese and can subsequently improve heart and vision health, boost the immune system, increase circulation, reduce the risk of diabetes, and make skin healthier.
Warning: Never consume Arbi raw, as it is toxic until cooked.
