Whilst the ‘garam’ of garam masala translates as ‘hot’, it is in fact a beautifully mild and fragrant spice blend. Originating in Northern India, garam masala provides the base of most Indian and Pakistani dishes, however the composition of the blend varies as you travel from region to region, as does its preferred method of use.
- Add towards the end of cooking to season and elevate the aroma of the dish
