Kala Watana also known as Raw Black Peas, are dark green coloured black peas that are small, round and look like black pearls. They are available any time of year. Although they belong to the same family of beans, they are usually distinguished as a separate group because of the way they are prepared. Dried peas are produced when they are fully mature and then dried.
