How to cook Tilda Basmati Rice
There are 2 ways that you can cook the Basmati Rice Tilda:
Method 1
- Squeeze the pouch before heating it up. Tear the top corner open for about 2cm.
- Place the pouch in your microwave on full power and let it heat up for 2 minutes.
- Tear the pouch open all the way through. Pour the rice into a bowl or plate, and fluff it up using a fork.
- Serve while it’s hot.
Method 2
- Put a small non-stick pan over low heat and let it warm up adequately.
- Add your Wholegrain Basmati Rice along with 2 tsp of warm water.
- Warm through for about 3 minutes on medium heat while you stir it continuously.
- Serve while it’s hot.

Creole Style Prawn Jambalaya
Serving: 4 persons

Cook Time: 10 mins
Ingredients you will need:
- 2 x 250g packs of Tilda Basmati
- 1 tsp sunflower oil
- 2 red peppers, deseeded and sliced
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 60g Diced Chorizo
- 2 tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 200g Raw Jumbo Prawns
- 25g pack, fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 1-2 tsp Creole Spice Mix
- 25g pack, fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
How to cook Creole Style Prawn Jambalaya
- Heat up the sunflower oil in a large frying pan and cook the onions, celery, peppers, and Chorizo for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables soften enough.
- Meanwhile, cook the Tilda Basmati Rice according to the instructions on the packet.
- Stir the prawns and tomatoes together. Add in the Creole spice mix and cook for about 2 minutes. Pour in the warm rice and stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the Jambalaya becomes really hot and the prawns are thoroughly cooked.
- Put on a plate and garnish with parsley.
