A green, leafy vegetable, similar to that of spinach but which has a stronger flavour, callaloo is traditionally cooked with onions, garlic, thyme and fiery scotch bonnet peppers.

Callaloo can be used as a an accompaniment to a main meal, as a filling for quiches, pancakes and omlettes and most famously in West Indian pepperpot soup.

Preserved the natural way by a team in Central Village Jamaica, through blanching and a dash of salt, it contains no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.
