Zhoug is an earthy paste chock of herby goodness that add fresh, spicy notes to whatever it's put with. Popular throughout the Middle East, most specifically in Israel, zhoug actually originated in Yemen.

Zhoug is often eaten alongside meats, specifically BBQ’d meats, as a condiment but can also be eaten with bread, as a marinade for vegetables, mixed through yogurt to make a dip, or even mixed with olive oil and a bit of white wine vinegar to make a vibrant salad dressing.
