Jyoti Patel is Red Rickshaw’s website owner and data controller. She is responsible for and controls the processing of your personal personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1988. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and our registration number is Z1819155.

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.redrickshaw.com (the “Site”).

We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- Administer your account with us.

- Communicate with you;

- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud and Verify and carry out financial transactions in relation to payments you make online; and

- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

- Audit the downloading of data from our website.

- Provide you with a more personalised experience on our site.

- Provide personalised product recommendations on the website and, if you have consented to this, via email 

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

 

We also use this data for retargeting advertising with Facebook and Google Adwords, you can opt out of this form of advertising by contacting us directly, or via the opt out mechanisms of Google and Facebook using the links detailed below.

 

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Mention-Me is a third party that controls the operation of our refer-a-friend programme. They process email addresses and certain order data for the purposes of:

  • Enrolling customers onto our refer-a-friend programme;

  • Monitoring the programme and safeguarding against gaming or fraudulent use of the programme;

  • Communicating with customers in connection with operation of the programme and delivery of rewards;

  • Reporting to [Controller] on the performance of the programme

  • If you have given us permission to send you marketing emails, by ticking the box at checkout, signing up to our newsletter or entering a competition which included a newsletter opt-in, then we may also share your email address with our email service provider Klaviyo who we send marketing emails through.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

SMS MARKETING

We value your privacy and the information you consent to share in relation to our SMS marketing service. We use this information to send you text notifications (for your order, including abandoned checkout reminders), text marketing offers, and transactional texts, including requests for reviews from us.

Our website uses cookies to keep track of items you put into your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your checkout. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS.

BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING

As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
