Recipe

Sour & Spicy Lime Pickle:

Ingredients: 

  • 7 to 8 limes
  • One tablespoon of Ajwain 
  • ½ tablespoon of red chilli powder 
  • One tablespoon of salt 

Procedure: 

  1. Wash the limes and dry them. 
  2. Cut the lemons into four small pieces.
  3. Squeeze lime to draw a juice of ¼ teaspoon. Do not over squeeze limes. 
  4. Remove the seeds. 
  5. Mix ajwain, chilli powder, and salt using a small spoon or fingers. 
  6. Stuff the above mixture in on the lime. 
  7. Then, place all the spiced limes in a clean jar. Close with a lid.
  8. After that, pour the lemon juice that you have squeezed earlier into the jar. 
  9. Sprinkle enough salt and spice. 
  10. Finally, place them in the sunlight for 4 to 5 days, and each day, shake the jar so that the ingredients mix well and enhance the taste. 
  11. That’s it. After five days, enjoy the lime pickle with your food.
